This simple marinade adds a tart-sweet flavor that really enhances steaks. We used it with a flank steak, but it will work well with almost any cut. Give it a try!
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 4 T Sweet Rice Wine (Mirin)
- 2 T Fresh Ginger, grated
- 1 T Oil
- 5 T Lemon Juice (substitute Yuzu Juice for extra complexity)
- Salt & Black Pepper
Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl, bag or other container. Add the meat, close/cover the container and marinate for at least several hours (ideally overnight), turning the meat occasionally.
Remove the meat from the marinade & pat it dry with paper towels.
